Situated on an island site bordering Elizabeth Street, Cleveland Street, Goodlet Street and Perry Street in Surry Hills, Podia has secured a prime location in Sydney’s booming tech corridor, within a thriving cluster of creative, business, arts and cultural enterprises.

The ground plane presents a myriad of placemaking and activation opportunities, including an expansive EOT and wellness facility spanning Goodlet and Perry Street and a bustling retail thoroughfare on Elizabeth Street.

Celebrating Heritage
Working with highly acclaimed architects SJB, the proposed design aims to celebrate and revitalise the existing double-storey, late Victorian shoptops with period detailing fronting Elizabeth Street. The existing heritage facade is interfaced with a brand new, four-storey PCA A-Grade commercial office with strong rectilinear modular expression and an opulent rooftop garden.
Passionate for Sustainability
Podia is passionate and committed to designing and developing sustainable buildings. At Surry Hills, Podia & SJB have incorporated passive design principles such as optimising the northern aspect for solar energy, pursuing a 100% fossil fuel free design (excluding retail cooking), and inclusion of biophilic elements on the ground plane and rooftop.
